This project on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, transformed a rundown storefront to create a new architectural expression.  Modern elements such as steel and translucent glass are combined in a way that is reminiscent of the old iron storefronts but translated into a contemporary aesthetic.  The traditional rhythm and masonry base that is found throughout the historic district is  reinterpreted to create a bold new presence on the historic mall.  The project weaves together an existing restaurant, the Gap, and a new retail store as well as accommodates a future second floor.
